Coach John Hynes and GM Ray Shero wanted to re-brand the locker room leading into the 2017-18 season. Part of this redesign, was the main hallway the players enter and exit the locker room through. The goal was to take away some of the drab and bare nature of the space and use design to bring life to the white cinder block walls. We wanted to create a modern locker room that the guys felt they were a part of, honoring the team’s history, without throwing it up all over every wall. In collaboration with the hockey operations staff and Coach Hynes, we found a way to smooth out the walls and bring some life to this high traffic space. The timeline on the wall was designed to be easily updated as the team continued writing it’s history.
